The Fire Boss – No one else comes close to it’s capability

    FIRE BOSS®

Master the Fireline. Maximize Your Resources.

In wildfire response, speed, precision, and efficiency make all the difference. The Fire Boss® scooping single engine air tanker is purpose-built to deliver fast, flexible aerial attack—helping fire agencies and operators get ahead of wildfires before they grow out of control.

No other air tanker combines affordability, agility, and payload performance like Fire Boss®.

Attack with Tempo. Control with Precision.

The Fire Boss can be dispatched in as little as five minutes, reaches the fireline at 150 knots, and begins dropping immediately—preloaded with water or retardant.

Once on site, it stays in the fight by scooping water from nearby sources, reloading in just 15 seconds. When a water source is close, a single Fire Boss can deliver up to 14,000 gallons per hour to the fire.

Its computer-controlled Fire Retardant Dispersal System (FRDS) enables precise drops even in mountainous terrain or tight urban interface zones—protecting ground crews, structures, and critical fire lines.

    Designed for the Harshest Conditions

Whether you’re flying above high ridgelines or skimming over lakes, Fire Boss excels where others hesitate:

    • Climb Rate: 892 ft/min at full capacity—ideal for steep, high-elevation operations

    • Drop Speed: 105 knots for accurate, low-altitude retardant placement

    • Short Runway Ready: Operates from gravel airstrips or ramps with minimal support infrastructure

    • Onboard Coordination: Two-seat configuration supports an aerial director alongside the pilot for real-time command and control

    The Fleet Advantage

Operating as a fleet, Fire Boss aircraft maintain constant coverage over the fireline with minimal turnaround times—a key factor in suppressing fast-moving wildfires. When one aircraft is scooping, another is dropping, delivering near-continuous salvos to knock down flames and support ground efforts.

And with its low acquisition and operating costs, you can field an entire Fire Boss fleet for less than the cost of one large amphibious air tanker.

Built for More Than One Mission

When fire season ends, the Fire Boss keeps working. Its modular design allows it to be refitted with conventional landing gear and a gate box for:

    • Aerial insecticide application

    • Timber fertilization

    • Forest rehabilitation (e.g., hydroseeding, erosion control)

It’s a multi-role workhorse, extending your return on investment well beyond fire suppression.

The Most Economical Aerial Firefighting Solution

Delivering nearly half the payload of a twin-engine amphibious tanker for just a fraction of the cost, Fire Boss offers:

    • 1/10th the capital expense

    • 1/5th the operating cost

    • Delivery cost of less than $0.65 per gallon of water or retardant

    Ready When You Are

Whether it’s protecting remote forests, critical infrastructure, or wildland-urban interface zones, the Fire Boss is ready to launch, easy to operate, and devastatingly effective.

    Fire Boss®
Take command of the fire—before it takes command of you.
