The Washington Aviation Association is a group of businesses with an interest in aviation and who value the rights of pilots and the aviation industry. Organized in 1938 as an informal coalition of aviation businesses, the Washington Aviation Association was formalized into a non-profit corporation in 1948 to confront problems of the industry and build a stable and prosperous future.
Membership is open to everyone including non-Washington residents. Exhibitors at the NW Aviation Conference receive free annual membership in the Association.
The Association also manages an Anti-Drug & Alcohol Consortium for businesses to be compliant with FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing compliance. Small businesses have the advantage of being part of a larger pool when routine random drug tests are required.
