Gulf Coast Avionics was appointed as Garmin’s first avionics dealer in 1994 and has achieved Platinum Dealer status since the award’s inception in 1998.
Rick Garcia, Gulf Coast Avionics, President and CEO, announced today that the company had received Garmin’s 2022 Platinum Dealer Award in recognition for its outstanding sales of the company’s aviation products. The award presentation was held during the recent Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) convention in New Orleans.
“Even after winning the Platinum Award for 24 years in a row, the accomplishment is just as meaningful to us as it was in 1998,” Garcia said. “With hundreds of Garmin aviation dealers around the world, for us to again be one of the top 10 in global sales is an achievement that no other dealer can match.”
“For nearly three decades, Gulf Coast Avionics has been a foundational part of the Garmin Aviation business segment,” said Jim Alpiser, Garmin’s Director, Aviation Aftermarket Sales. “We are delighted to recognize once again Gulf Coast Avionics for their outstanding sales and support of our products.”
“While I am extremely happy to receive this award, I am even prouder of the extremely high levels of knowledge and skills that our sales and installation teams have consistently provided for our customers over these many years,” he added. “We’ve been right there with Garmin as they’ve revolutionized so many parts of the avionics industry. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.”
