    Service Instruction – PAC SI-PAC-027 “Lithium-ion batteries for ROTAX® Aircraft Engines.”

    Rotax now offers Genuine ROTAX® Lithium-ion batteries for ROTAX® 4-stroke Aircraft Engines all Rotax 900 series engines.  

    All ROTAX® 4-stroke aircraft engines which are equipped with 12 V starter and fuse-box are now offered Genuine ROTAX® Lithium-ion batteries. The battery is not a part of the Engine Type Design. Lithium-ion batteries part no. 966260 and 966265 have been tested and released by  BRP-Rotax, but are not certified. The correct function in conjunction with the entire electrical system is the responsibility of the aircraft manufacturer. The certification of the battery is the responsibility of the aircraft
    manufacturer and must be carried out jointly with the aircraft.
