Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Sept. 11, 2019 – Sold out until March 2020 – that’s the remarkable news at Mooney, makers of the high-performance, hand-crafted Ovation and Acclaim aircraft. Thanks in large part to Premier Aircraft Sales, an authorized Mooney dealer based in Florida, six new Mooneys were sold in the past 30 days, a record that’s cleared all remaining new inventory.
“We had a lights-out month of Mooney sales dating back to this year’s Oshkosh Air Show in Wisconsin, where we closed on two Mooneys,” said Premier Aircraft President Fred Ahles. “We’ve had a tremendous year in general for all the piston and turbine brands we sell, but this was a never-before-seen accomplishment for us.”
Since 2003, Premier has now sold more than 290 new and used Mooney aircraft.
Mooney aircraft are custom designed and built in Kerrville, Texas, where production of new aircraft have been reduced in recent years. New Ovations and Acclaims are priced in the $700,000 to $800,000 range.
