The association will present at the Pilot Proficiency Center and its exhibit area throughout the event in Oshkosh.
The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) has announced its comprehensive schedule of presentations and other events slated for the 2025 Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture fly-in at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on July 21-27.
NAFI plans a more robust presence at AirVenture this year. In addition to its normal location on the EAA grounds at Booth 354, just east of Hangar B, NAFI will also be at the EAA Pilot Proficiency Center (PPC). In cooperation with EAA and Redbird Flight Simulations, the Professional Development Center’s program of safety and training presentations will be held at the EAA PPC, located adjacent to the EAA Museum.
NAFI President Paul Preidecker said, “We are excited to bring our Professional Development programming to the EAA PPC. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn valuable content from a team of experienced presenters and aviators.”
NAFI’s program at the PPC will feature more than 30 presentations that cover a wide range of topics including:
· Using and managing technology
· VFR operations
· IFR operations
· Understanding weather
· Pilot health and well-being
· Training with simulators
· Checkride prep
· Risk management
· Human factors
· Professionalism
Attendees who visit the NAFI booth on the EAA grounds (Booth 354) will have a chance to catch up with leaders and experts during a series of roundtable discussions. Among the leaders in residence will be pilot examiners, weather briefers, medical examiners, type club instructors, insurance experts, and many more. Tune in to EAA Radio on Friday, July 25, at 11:30 a.m., when NAFI Chair Karen Kalishek will join the host of Attitude Adjustment, Amy Laboda, for a lively conversation about NAFI’s safety programs and ongoing education for flight instructors. Find the station on 96.5 FM / 1210 AM on your “dial” during the show and throughout the year on the website.
NAFI staff and board members will be available throughout the week to network with visitors. Daily drawings for giveaways for new and existing members will also be held.
