Textron Aviation Inc. announced today a signed purchase agreement for one Cessna Caravan aircraft destined for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Division of Law Enforcement. The Cessna Caravan will join two Bell 505 helicopters recently placed on order by the FWC. The Cessna Caravan aircraft is designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation, a Textron Inc. Electronic flight instrument will replace the aircraft’s original secondary flight display, and a second GI 275 will be used as an MFD for increased situational awareness. Garmin today announced Supplemental Type Certification (STC) by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the GI 275 electronic flight instrument in the Dassault Falcon 7X business jet. As a replacement for the original secondary flight display (SFD), the primary GI 275 will integrate with the aircraft’s existing systems to be configured as an attitude-direction indicator (ADI) with synthetic vision technology (SVTTM).
