Ongoing approvals solidify Yukon’s position as a high-performance solution.

Wipaire is pleased to announce that the Yukon propeller is certified and available in the additional areas:

    • European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) 27 EU Countries + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Norway
    • Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Indonesia
    • General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia

These approvals complement existing certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Brazil (ANAC), under which deliveries began last year.

The Yukon propeller was developed in collaboration with Hartzell Propeller. It is a four-blade, full composite propeller with a nickel-capped leading edge for durability and performance. It is approved for installation on both wheeled* and amphibious variants of the Cessna® Caravan® series, specifically, C208 and C208B with either the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-114A (675 SHP) or the PT6A-140 (867 SHP) engine.

    Performance Enhancements

    • Takeoff Efficiency: Up to a 26% reduction in total takeoff distance from land and up to a 31% reduction from water surfaces, significantly improving operational safety on constrained runways and smaller bodies of water
    • Weight Optimization: At 137 pounds, the Yukon propeller is up to 19 pounds lighter than comparable alternatives, contributing to overall aircraft efficiency
    • Additional Features:
      • Optional pitch locks
      • No impact on stall speed performance
      • Compatibility with both TKS and electric de-icing systems

    * Contact Wipaire for details on Caravan models currently approved by EASA and approvals that are being finalized.
